TeraHertz Working Meeting at Lviv Polytechnic: Reviewing Achievements and Shaping the Next Steps
The TeraHertz team held a working meeting at Lviv Polytechnic National University (LPNU), bringing together the Project Coordinator, Prof. Anatoliy Andrushchak, and the Project Manager, Dr. Nazariy Andrushchak, to take stock of the project’s achievements and to plan the tasks ahead. The meeting was a focused, hands-on session: participants worked through progress reports, deliverables, and secondment documentation, comparing the results obtained so far against the objectives set out in the Grant Agreement and Work Plan.
Analysing Progress at the Project’s Midpoint
Having recently passed the midpoint of the project, the team used the meeting to carefully review the scientific and managerial results delivered to date across all Work Packages. The discussion covered the project’s key scientific highlights, the current status of secondments and mobility, and the priorities that will define the second half of the work programme, including the transition from fundamental research towards laboratory prototypes. Working directly with the documentation on the table, the participants identified what has been accomplished, what remains to be done, and how best to coordinate the network’s efforts in the coming period.
Welcoming New Expertise to the Consortium
An important focus of the meeting was the integration of new colleagues into the project. The TeraHertz team is glad to welcome two professors from the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of LPNU, Prof. Kyryk and Prof. Demydov, who are joining the project’s research and coordination activities. Their expertise in information and communication technologies strengthens the consortium and broadens the range of competencies available to the network, supporting both the technical work and the planning of upcoming tasks.
Strategising the Next Phase
Beyond reviewing past achievements, the meeting was dedicated to strategic planning. The team mapped out the next set of tasks, aligned responsibilities, and set clear priorities to ensure the smooth and timely implementation of the project’s remaining objectives. This kind of close, in-person coordination between the coordinator, the project manager, and the research teams is essential to keeping the TeraHertz network on track as it moves into the second half of its work programme.
The TeraHertz consortium looks forward to building on these results and to the contributions of its new team members in the months ahead.
